In partnership with AWS Foundation, Questa Education Foundation is offering fully forgivable loan options to students pursuing a certification, licensure and/or degree in special education, and for students pursuing a master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology.

AWS Special Education Scholars Program

For individuals pursuing a certification, licensure and/or degree in special education.

The AWS Special Education Scholars Program is for individuals pursuing a certification, licensure and/or degree in special education. Preference given to juniors or seniors in college or those completing their certification or licensure. Scholars are eligible to receive up to $5,000 per year. This forgivable loan can be up to 100% forgiven if a graduate works in special education within a school system in Northeast Indiana.

Eligibility Requirements:

  • Intent to live in Northeast Indiana and work in special education in Northeast Indiana public schools for five years upon graduation*

  • Financial gap in affording your college cost of attendance

  • Currently earning a certificate, degree, and/or licensure in special education

  • Due to the work requirements for debt forgiveness, applicants for a Career Scholar program must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident

Speech-Language Pathology Scholars Program

For individuals pursuing a Master of Science in Speech-Language Pathology

In partnership with AWS Foundation, Questa is offering fully forgivable loans to individuals from Northeast Indiana pursuing a Master of Science in Speech-Language Pathology at Purdue University Fort Wayne. Scholars are eligible to receive up to $10,000 per year.

  • Resident of one of the 11 counties of Northeast Indiana

  • Intent to live in Northeast Indiana and work as a speech-language pathologist in Northeast Indiana

  • Financial gap in affording your college cost of attendance.

  • Currently accepted or enrolled in a Master of Science program in Speech-Language Pathology at Purdue University Fort Wayne

  • Due to the work requirements for debt forgiveness, applicants for a Career Scholar program must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident

AWS School Psychology Scholars Program

For individuals pursuing an Ed.S. in school psychology.

The AWS School Psychology Scholars Program is for individuals pursuing an Education Specialist (Ed.S.) degree in school psychology. Candidates for this program are nominated by their school district, at the invitation of AWS Foundation. Scholars are eligible to receive up to $30,000 for their degree. This forgivable loan can be up to 100% forgiven if a graduate works as a school psychologist for their nominating school district for at least two years and within a public school system in Northeast Indiana for another two years (total work commitment for four years).

Eligibility Requirements:

  • Intent to live in Northeast Indiana and work as a school psychologist in Northeast Indiana public schools for four years upon graduation*

  • Financial gap in affording your college's cost of attendance

  • Nominated by your school district for consideration

  • Acceptance into the IU Ed.S. School Psychology program

  • Commitment to work at your nominating school district for at least two years and overall commitment to work in Northeast Indiana public schools for at least four years
