Questa Expands Scholarship Opportunity to Build the Manufacturing and Skilled Trades Workforce

Questa Education Foundation is excited to announce a new partnership with the Anthony Wayne Rotary Club to expand the MadeByMe Scholarship program, supporting students seeking careers in manufacturing and the skilled trades. The MadeByMe Scholarship provides Allen County residents with up to $1,000 to cover expenses for an apprenticeship, certification, degree, or other credential that prepares them to work in manufacturing or the skilled trades. Funding is not limited to tuition and fees and can be used for other educational expenses such as transportation costs, books, or equipment fees.

The MadeByMe Scholarship launched earlier this year with support from the MadeByMe Coalition of Greater Fort Wayne Inc. and funding from the North Indiana Chapter of the International Facility Management Association (IFMA). Support from the Anthony Wayne Rotary Club enables Questa to fund additional students for this important program.

“Service to our local community is a pillar of Rotary and this scholarship fund not only helps residents pursue rewarding careers, but also helps our region develop the talent needed in these critical fields,” said Lynette Johnson, President of Anthony Wayne Rotary Club. “Questa has a long history of success supporting local students and is the perfect partner for Rotary to serve our community in this way.”

“Our community and our economy thrive when we invest in our residents,” said Liz Bushnell, Director of Questa Education Foundation. “We are grateful for partners like the Anthony Wayne Rotary Club who help us to support local students and meet the workforce needs our regional employers.”

The MadeByMe Scholarship is open to high school seniors, individuals with their HSE, and adult learners. Applications are accepted year-round. For more information and details on how to apply for the MadeByMe scholarship, visit www.questafoundation.org/scholarships.

In addition to this opportunity, Questa supports individuals pursing a trade or manufacturing field within the Traditional and Contemporary Scholar Programs. These programs provide up to $5,000 a year in forgivable loan funding for students. Questa Scholars can receive up to 75% forgiveness on their loan by graduating from one of Questa’s partnering institutions and living and working in the region upon graduation. A list of partner schools can be found on Questa’s website.
