Contemporary Scholars Program

 

Program Overview

Questa’s Contemporary Scholars Program is available to bridge the financial gap between college costs and other available resources to help Northeast Indiana residents and students access college and graduate with less debt.

 

Questa Education Foundation’s Contemporary Scholar Program assists college students starting throughout the year, returning students completing their education, and adult learners. Funding is for individuals seeking a certificate, associate, or bachelor's degree and who have encountered a financial gap in their education. Up to $5,000 is awarded per year, depending on the educational plan and enrolled credit hours.

Eligibility Requirements

  • Resident of Northeast Indiana (Counties include: Adams, Allen, DeKalb, Huntington, LaGrange, Kosciusko, Noble, Steuben, Wabash, Wells, and Whitley Counties)*

  • Attending a not-for-profit college or university in Indiana

  • Attending either part-time (6+ credit hours) or full-time (12+ credit hours)

  • Possess a minimum 2.5 cumulative GPA or a strong recommendation from an employer

*Funding may vary per county. Graduate students from Grant County are now eligible to apply for funding through the Traditional Scholars application. Learn more!

All students considering any major or degree field are encouraged to apply for the Contemporary Scholars Program. However, specific funding is available for individuals pursuing manufacturing, healthcare, STEM, computer science and for women pursuing a degree in business. All majors may apply through the Contemporary Scholars Program.

In addition to loan forgiveness, Questa offers help for students with an outstanding balance at their college through the Degree Finish Line program (available at participating partner schools). Questa Scholars could receive an additional 25% forgiveness on their Questa loan by attending and graduating from one of the following partner institutions.
